This weekend’s Good Book sermon will focus on Exodus 1:15-22 and the story of Puah. We don’t often spend a lot of time talking about Puah’s story (and her colleague Shiphrah) and their role in the Exodus story, but they played a significant role in making sure babies were born. Puah was a Hebrew midwife who delivered the children of the Israelites during the Egyptian servitude. She disobeyed Pharaoh’s command and did not kill the Israelite male newborns. Discover the significance of Puah’s story for yourself by joining us for worship this weekend.
