First Lutheran’s initial Fifth Sunday Town Hall Meeting set the stage for what’s to come. An eager group of participants joined Pastor Erin and Congregation Council representatives around tables to enjoy a potluck meal and conversation followed by updates from the Council.
Reports included 2023 budget figures, the Called to Welcome Building Fund and the Mortgage Transition Fund, projected building maintenance needs and the status of the Associate Pastor call process. First Lutheran’s application to the Nebraska Synod Ministry Initiative program was announced.
Small group Q and A sessions facilitated by Council members gathered responses related to the congregation’s strengths and opportunities for further living out the group’s mission statement. The information will be used by the Congregation Council as it identifies priorities and engages in strategic planning.
