Tuesday’s Faith Thought…

Malachi 3:1-4
See, I am sending my messenger to prepare the way before me, and the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple. The messenger of the covenant in whom you delight—indeed, he is coming, says the Lord of hosts. But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears?

For he is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap; he will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the descendants of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, until they present offerings to the Lord in righteousness. Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord as in the days of old and as in former years.

Reflect:
What is God attempting to make of you?
How is God preparing you for his work?
Are you aware of God’s refining process going on each and every day of your life?

Think about your life. Think about the moments and experiences where it seemed like a greater work was being done with you. Think about when it seemed you were being shaped, molded, refined and even purified to be the disciple you are today.

In Sunday’s sermon, Pastor Dan shared stories of how God has refined and molded him to be the pastor he is today. He challenges all of us to reflect on how God’s refining process is working in our lives. Take a moment to listen to his sermon as it is sure to get you thinking… https://flclincoln.org/…/…/2018/12/18-12-9-Dan-Warnes.mp3. (The sermon begins at the 1:08 marker)
