On October 12, members of our First Lutheran family joined fellow community members for a walk with a purpose. The CROP Hunger Walk isn’t just a stroll through Lincoln; it’s turning simple steps into vital resources for families facing hunger both here at home and around the world.
For 55 years, this event had been a tradition of compassion that has made a tangible difference. Last year alone, the Lincoln walk raised an impressive $22,288. Since 1987, our local community has contributed an incredible total of about $323,367 toward ending hunger.
This year, we set a goal for First Lutheran to raise $3,000 to support this important cause. Thanks to our dedicated walkers and generous supporters, we almost hit our goal — raising $2850!
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who walked, donated and supported this effort. Your participation is an example of faith in action, providing food and hope to those who need it most. You walked with purpose, and together, we made a difference.
