This summer two mission trip opportunities will be offered to the high school youth. This year is an ELCA Youth Gathering year (every 3 years) and First has not participated since 2009. Some youth want to experience a gathering while others want something more service oriented. From June 27-July 1 some of our high school youth will travel to the Gathering in Houston, while others will do a mission trip to Kansas City July 22-27.
Thank you to all who have contributed to and attended our fundraiser events. On Sunday, February 11, the high school youth will provide child care for children 3 and older from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm. This will be a fund raiser for the summer trips so donations will be accepted. The children will make Valentine’s for our shut ins and hospitalized members, make their own Valentine’s crafts, and play games, watch a movie and other fun activities. Please register your child(ren) with Sharon by February 7.
