Volunteer as a Worship Assistant: Many Are Needed

Sunday worship at First depends on more than just the pastors and the music directors. Volunteer worship assistants, such as ushers, greeters, readers and communion assistants are just as important to making worship happen. Consider serving as an assistant in January, February or March by Signing up on Realm!

If you currently have an activated Realm account, signing up is simple and easy. Here are the simple steps if connecting on your desktop (the steps will be very similar on the Realm App):

1. Log into your Realm account.
2. Click on Serving on the left hand side.
3. Click on Opportunities at the top.
4. Click on Browse by Role. You will find all the worship assistant roles you can volunteer for at any time. Click on each of the roles you are interested in serving. Each time you select a role you will be asked to submit it for approval. Upon Mandy West approving your request, you will be set to go as a volunteer for that role from here on. (This approval process is a one-time process.)
5. Once you get a message from Mandy West indicating your request for serving in a particular role has been approved, jump back into your Realm account and click again on Serving on the left hand side.
6. You should now see that you are a member of the Worship Assistants team listed to the right. Click on Worship Assistants. Click on Schedules. You should now find the January, February and March Worship Assistant Sign Up. Click on it.
7. The schedule for 8:15 AM and 10:45 AM will be on your screen. Simply find the date and time and add yourself to the different serving roles you want to fill.

This might seem like a lot of steps, but Steps 1-5 are steps you will need to do only once to get started in Realm to serve. From there on, just jump into Step 6 each time you want to serve.
