October’s Noisy Offering will support the Lincoln CROP Walk on October 8. CROP Hunger Walk is the oldest hunger-fighting fundraising event in the U.S. supported by faiths in more than 1600 communities each year! 25% of the money raised in Lincoln supports Lincoln/Lancaster foodbanks, as well as Tabitha’s Meals on Wheels. The remainder helps people around the world have enough food to eat and clean water to drink.
Visit the CROP garden display in the Commons on Sunday morning to receive a walker packet for the CROP Walk on October 8. You can also register at http://www.crophungerwalk.org/lincolnne. The walk will begin at 2:30 pm at New Hope United Methodist Church, located at 1205 N. 45th Street. Arrive by 1:30 pm so we can take a group photo of the First Lutheran walkers! If you can’t participate, please consider supporting a First Lutheran walker!
Watch our ‘garden’ grow as we gather more CROP Walkers and donations!
