Hello! My name is Denise Grasmick, and I’m excited to be joining the staff at First Lutheran as your new Parish Coordinator.
I’m a lifelong Nebraskan and have spent many years working in positions where I’ve had the opportunity to help and support others. While my background has included administrative work, what I’ve always enjoyed most is building relationships, being part of a team and helping people in whatever way I can.
What drew me to First Lutheran was the opportunity for a meaningful career change. I was looking for a place where my work could be part of something bigger than myself, and where I could contribute to a community rooted in faith, service and compassion. From the very beginning, everyone I’ve met has been so welcoming, and I already feel blessed to be part of the First Lutheran family.
I’m especially looking forward to getting to know the congregation, supporting the ministries of the church and serving alongside the dedicated staff and volunteers who make First Lutheran such a special place.
When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family. I have two wonderful grown sons and we’re excited that one of them will be getting married next year! I also enjoy creating art, working in my garden, and spending time with my dogs, who always manage to keep life entertaining.
Thank you for such a warm welcome. I look forward to meeting many of you in the weeks and months ahead and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of this wonderful church community.
