Over three days this week, our hearts and hands came together at the Wrapped in Love Mini VBS to serve, love and give back in amazing ways.
Here’s a glimpse of everything we accomplished as a church community:
We decorated 28 beautiful quilt squares that our First Lutheran quilters will lovingly assemble for Carol Joy Holling Camp’s quilt auction this July. Every creation made with love and care!
The children of Las Abejitas joined us as we read books, played games and made joyful noisemakers in preparation for their New Year’s Eve celebration!
Our group packed 60 cold weather kits for the homeless served by Matt Talbot Kitchen and Outreach, including hats, gloves, hand/foot warmers, lip balm, hand lotion, tissues and handwritten notes letting recipients know they’re loved by God. Additionally, we crafted angel ornaments and wove plastic bag mats to provide further comfort. We also distributed food to 630 families and 1,700 individuals through the Center for People Pantry – what a blessing!
We wrapped it all up with a “make your own pizza” lunch and a noisy, fun countdown to the New Year at NOON!
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who gave their time, creativity and love. You’ve truly made an impact with the work of your hands and the kindness of your hearts.
Let’s continue to spread joy and love in 2025!
