Justin Payne and Dani Cleveland, a young Omaha duo, will headline their first concert at First Friday Jazz (FFJ) at First Lutheran Church on January 6! It’s a performance you and your friends will not want to miss!
Justin Payne is a classically trained tenor and composer and performs both as a pianist and singer. He appeared with Camille Metoyer Moten in her FFJ concert a year ago and received enthusiastic audience applause.
Dani Cleveland’s soulful style features a cool and calm energy, ranging from jazz to soul, R&B and gospel. Her heartfelt approach to melody and song makes her a unique performer among other vocalists. She is a frequent performer at Omaha jazz clubs and has hosted jazz concerts across the Midwest. She recently served a musical residency at Dubai’s Expo 2020.
The concert is scheduled between11:30 am and 1:00 pm at First Lutheran’s Activity Center, 1551 South 70th Street, in Lincoln. There is no admission charge and lunch is available for purchase. Audience members are encouraged to bring non-perishable items for the Lincoln Lutheran Food Pantry.
