During the summer, 13 high schoolers, 6 middle schoolers and 6 adults from First Lutheran went on accompaniment trips to Florida, Denver and Wisconsin. They sorted food for local food pantries, cleaned parks and hiking trails, painted, helped with Special Olympics, worshiped, learned about disaster relief, enjoyed the ocean, museums, amusement parks and nature and made new friends along the way. In addition to the accompaniment trips, First Lutheran had nine youth attend Camp Carol Joy Holling during the summer. This Sunday, July 30, the youth and adults will reflect on and share more about their accompaniment and camp experiences with the congregation during the Adult Forum hour, 9:30-10:30 AM, in the Activity Center. All are encouraged to come and hear how these experiences not only changed the lives of those served, but also the lives of our young people at First.
