Justice in Action Sunday Sheds Insights and Significance on First Lutheran’s Membership

By April 15, 2024News, Serve
We extend our gratitude to Olivia Butts from Justice in Action (JIA) for joining us in worship and our learning hour yesterday. She shared insights on JIA’s initiatives in Lincoln/Lancaster County and shed light on the significance of First Lutheran’s JIA membership in aiding those facing injustice.

Take a moment to listen to Olivia’s Temple Talk to learn more about JIA and how they are organizing people of faith to address big community problems.

Save the date: May 2nd, 6:30 PM. Join us to represent First Lutheran at the Nehemiah Action Assembly at St. Mark’s Methodist Church. Over 1,000 individuals from the 25 JIA member congregations will unite with city and county leaders to address key issues: mental health navigation, adult pre-trial diversion and affordable housing.
