Las Abejitas Bilingual Child Education Center is up and running at First Lutheran!
Center Director, Kayla Munoz, shared, “We have been slowly adding to our hive so teachers and students can become acclimated to our new center. Families and staff have felt very welcomed by the church! The Nature Classroom is definitely a favorite and the children never seem quite ready to go inside. Our theme this month is the beach and sea life. We had a “beach party” in the activity center during our center-wide circle time where we read fishy stories, explored sandy sensory boxes, then sang, danced and played with bubbles and beach balls. We also got some new center pets! The preschool classrooms got guppies and a snail and we got an axolotl named Randall for the office. The children loved visiting him and learning more about axolotls, the Mexican walking fish.”
