Resting on the Final Day of VBS

By July 1, 2023Children, Learn, News

On our final day of Vacation Bible School we rested. We heard the story of creation and were reminded of how important it is to rest – just as God did. In storytelling we used hand held instruments to make sounds for the different days of creation and we practiced rest, including doing yoga. In science we measured our resting heartbeat and our heartbeat again after exercising. We then recorded and talked about our findings over a snack. In service learning we made “Rest Coupons” to give to our parents and care givers so they could also rest.

And, that is a wrap for our Operation Restoration VBS this week! The kids had a great time and our volunteers are surely ready to rest after all the work, energy and enthusiasm they contributed throughout the week! Thanks to everyone who participated and made VBS 2023 a great one!
