Support Lutheran Disaster Response’s Efforts in the Holy Land

The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.
And those who know your name put their trust in you
or you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you. (Psalm 9:9-10)

I mentioned in worship on Sunday that the ELCA website offers resources for understanding the context of the tragic war that has broken out between Israel and Hamas. You can find those resources and statements online. I encourage you to read through these resources, especially Presiding Bishop Eaton’s statement. If you would like to support Lutheran Disaster Response’s efforts in the Holy Land, you can do so online.

Please join me in praying for peace in Gaza, Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories and an end to the violence and destruction of Palestinian and Israeli lives.
