Tuesday’s Faith Thought…See What God Can Do This Year

By December 31, 2019News, Worship and Pray

Do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Rejoice that I am continually working newness into your life. I am a God of unlimited creativity; expect me to do surprising things that stretches out before you. (Isaiah 43:18)

Pray..

Dear God,
Thank you for all that you have allowed in my life this past year – the good and the hard things. They have reminded me how much I need you and rely on your presence every single day.

I pray for your Spirit to lead me each step of this New Year. I ask that you open doors needing to be opened and close the ones needing to be shut tight. I ask that you would help me release my grip on the things to which you have said “no,” “not yet,” or “wait.”

I ask for your wisdom, strength and power to be constantly present within me. I pray you make me strong and courageous for the road ahead. Give me ability beyond what I feel able. Let your gifts flow freely through me.

I ask that you keep my footsteps firm, on solid ground, helping me to be consistent and faithful. Give me endurance to stay the course, not swerving to the right or to the left, or being too easily distracted by other things that would seek to call me away from walking with you.

Shine your light in me, through me and over me. May I make a difference in this world for your glory and purposes. Set your way before me. May I reflect your peace and hope to a world that so desperately needs your presence and healing.

To you be glory and honor, in this New Year, and forever.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
